A relay race is an unique experience by itself. This relay team is even more unique than the usual team. Most of the team has never met in person. We have all met online through the Nike+ site. A few of us were lucky enough to have met in July 2007 in Beverton OR at the Nike+ Summit. For most of us this will be the first time that we all meet together and run. This experience will definitely be awesome in itself. I'm not sure how many relays have been run with such a geographically diverse group of people.
We have members from both coasts and some in between the two coasts. We will all meet in California and I'm sure it will be like a reunion as if we have all met in the past and we are getting together for a running party. This will be the first annual gathering of Nike+ people at the EAS relay.

Texas Independence Relay Info
The Texas Independence Relay is composed of 40 relay legs of various lengths, totaling over 200 miles. The course starts in Gonzales, TX, where the Texas Revolution began, and it finishes at the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas Independence was won!
The relay will run from March 7th - 8th.
8 original Waiting for Runs Relay members will be returning (we will miss abelisle, the Foos, & Mystery runner)
This time, we will up the challenge and have 9 runners in a luxurious 15 passenger van. This means no resting time for the 2nd van.
