Texas Independence Relay Info

The Texas Independence Relay is composed of 40 relay legs of various lengths, totaling over 200 miles. The course starts in Gonzales, TX, where the Texas Revolution began, and it finishes at the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas Independence was won!

The relay will run from March 7th - 8th.

8 original Waiting for Runs Relay members will be returning (we will miss abelisle, the Foos, & Mystery runner)

This time, we will up the challenge and have 9 runners in a luxurious 15 passenger van. This means no resting time for the 2nd van.

Hi fellow team mates!

First I want to thank Doug for allowing me to post on this venerable site! LOL and secondly I want to say how grateful I am for all you guys to have an "old fart" like me doing this adventure with you! Today (Mon. 4/14) I'm planning to do some serious mountain biking in Marin County and maybe come across some of the terrain we might be running through?

Between us posting here in the "official" blog and my little thread over at Nike+, we should cover all the bases in reporting back to both ourselves and our adoring public who is waiting vicariously to share our joy.

Alex ( at the rate I'm "not" sleeping now, sleep deprivation should be no big deal! LOL )
